Kate's Clogs: Look for Less

Want to get Kate's great clogs? At a hefty price tag of $1275, these Chanel Cap Toe Clogs are not only expensive but sold out everywhere. But luckily I found a more affordable and available version from Jeffrey Campbell. 

I just purchased these Jeffrey Campbell Charli C Clogs in Black from RevolveClothing.com for only $79.00! They come in a few other colors, including a beautiful tan and even camo?! Now I did say these shoes are available but in limited supply. The stores that still have them in stock have limited sizes since they've gone on sale. I was lucky to find these at $79 since most retailers are priced at $136. I believe Bloomingdales and Nordstroms still have a some in stock so hurry if you want to grab a pair. Clogs are still very in for Spring/Summer 2011 for find a great pair and rock em'!

Ombre Hair

Do we like? Or not? I can't decide on this trend. It looks really great on some people but others it's a hot mess. It seems to work best on darker tones whereas people with really blonde tips and dark roots, like Drew Barrymore, just look like they're overdue at the salon. Rachel Bilson has been wearing this hair trend for a few years now and has just the right amount of contrast in the tone of her hair.

My advice for people wanting to try this trend, go easy on the range of color. Keep your roots close to your natural hair color and go one or two shades lighter on the tips. Too much of a contrast and you'll end up looking like this...

Okay, okay maybe that's an exaggeration but consult with your stylist before attempting this look. They'll be honest on whether or not it's right for you!

New Nail Trend

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been sick with the flu :( So I have a brand new product to share with you from Sally Hansen. Salon Effects peel and stick nail polish is very similar to the Minx version available at select professional salons but at a fraction of the cost. For only $8.50 these peel and stick polishes come in tons of patterns and solid colors. I have not tried them out yet but I have read reviews they are super easy to apply and last about 10 days before they start to chip or your nail grows out.

Katy Perry is a huge fan of Minx nails but a set like hers will run you about $40 and must be applied by a professional. Sally Hansen offers a very similar pattern which you can purchase at your local drugstore.  I'll be picking up a few of these patterns soon and let you know how they turn out!

Loving Leighton

In the "Celebrity Fashion World" Leighton Meester tends to get a bad rap. Yes, she sometimes looks like she got dressed in the dark but I have been loving her looks lately. It could also be due to the fact that I fell in love with her character Chiles in Country Strong. Her and Garrett Hedlund were just about the only good thing in Country Strong but that's another conversation. So here's to you Leighton and your lovely looks!

The Globes go Green

2011 has been one of my favorite red carpets so far because the color of the evening is GREEN!

There were a few other ladies wearing green but these are my favs. Pink and Red were also very hot colors of the evening. Here's a few more of my fav looks...

Absolutely stunning gowns ladies! I have to save my favorite dress has to be Angelina Jolie's Emerald Green Versace Gown. This picture does not do the gown justice though. Anne Hathaway also looked chic in a long-sleeved backless Armani gown. Golden Globes Countdown

Today is the beginning of one of my favorite times of the year...Award Season! The Golden Globes air tonight @ 7PM (central) on NBC. But the best part, the red carpet, starts @ 4PM on E!. I will be tuned in all day to watch everyone arrive and of course blog about what they're wearing. Here are my favorite picks from last year's Golden Globes and hopefully they will not disappoint this year.

ASOS.com offers great trendy finds at ever greater prices. I have ordered about 5 things from them in the past, and loved every single item, but the shipping was a problem. Just be wary these items are coming from London and may take a while to get to you unless you pay for the Express Shipping. But minus the shipping hassle it's definitely worth the risk in my opinion. Neons for Spring

I've been seeing a new development in makeup trends for the Spring and it's all about neons! Normally it is very difficult for people to wear neon eye shadows and lipsticks but it's all about complimenting your skin tone. Here are a few of the products I'm excited to purchase and try out on myself (if you have a very light complexion like me these should look good on your too).

Spirit Hoods have been seen on lots of celebs lately including Khloe Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Pink and even Fergie! Ladies you look absolutely ridiculous! I don't care how famous you, or think you are, these so called hats have got to go. I realize you're trying to make a fashion statement but you look more like Davy Crocket than a trendy fashionista. Go home, look in the mirror and tell yourself "I'm an idiot for wearing this." Better luck next time ladies.
