I recently tried the new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail varnish and I must say it actually does what it says. The brush alone was enough to sell me on this product. It has a flat tapered end that perfectly covers your entire nail in a few swipes. It also cuts down on time since it's your base coat, color and top coat all in one! It dries fairly quickly and leaves behind a beautiful shine.  The color I used is #610 Red Zin which looks like this...

If you're not ready to fully commit to black nails, this dries dark but still has a prominent red hue. Some of my other favorite dark nail polishes for fall are Lincoln Park After Dark by O.P.I and Little Brown Dress by Essie. Most nail salons carry O.P.I. nail varnish and I know Aveda salons carry Essie. If you find a color you love bring it with you to your next mani pedi instead of hoping to find that perfect color at the salon!
